The Digital Printing
and Publishing Process.
How it all works.

Just about any input format is fine:

Hard copy: Documents on paper. This can include:

  • Handwritten notes, doodles, letters
  • Typed or word-processed pages (where no electronic original exists)
  • Sketches and drawings
  • Maps
  • Cartoons
  • Photographs
You'll get the best results with clean photocopies of your originals on 81/2 x11" paper. Don't forget, if you want to use all or a portion of a published work (like a cartoon or a chapter from a textbook) you need to consider Copyright Clearance.

Computer Disk: We print from

  • Floppy disk (31/2" or 51/4")
  • Cartridge (e.g. Syquest or ZIP type)
  • Optical disk (e.g. CD, Magneto-optical disk)
File Formats: You'll be sure to get maximum accuracy and quality if you send us Postscript® or Adobe PDF files with fonts embedded. Other file types we currently support are:
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Lotus AmiPro, Lotus 1-2-3, Lotus Freelance
  • Adobe (Aldus) PageMaker
  • Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, Acrobat
  • CorelDraw
  • Corel Ventura
  • QuarkExpress
We can work from either DOS or Windows/Windows 95, IBM or Mac files. Ask us about software programs not listed here!
